200 Magazine is researched, written and edited by John Evans, a former BBC political, news and sports journalist and editor. He is now an independent historian and member of the Royal Historical Society, John has fact-checked content for BBC History Magazine since 2016. He is also a member of the Historical Association, the British Association  for Local History, Social History Society, and Llafur, the Welsh People's History Society.
